About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Library and Literacy Mentor to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the futures of our students and creating opportunities for them to develop a love for reading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and supervise one of our well-resourced libraries, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for students.
  • Lead library lessons, which are highly popular among students, and develop engaging programs to promote literacy and a love for reading.
  • Take a leading role in facilitating and coordinating interventions to improve students' literacy skills, working closely with teachers and staff to ensure seamless implementation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in a literature-related subject or experience working in a library/leading English interventions.
  • A strong passion for education and a desire to inspire young people to develop a love for reading.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
