Senior Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Acoustic and Structures team in the Building Test Centre at Saint Gobain Interior Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing within acoustics and structure labs, as well as identifying opportunities to optimize testing methods.
Key Responsibilities- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct UKAS accredited testing in accordance with EN ISO 17025, ensuring high-quality analysis and adherence to strict requirements.
- Market Research and Customer Engagement: Engage with customers externally, researching and understanding different types of testing methods to drive continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain technical knowledge of testing for the construction industry, including fire, acoustics, structures, and glass plastering.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality analysis and ensure effective communication of results.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of our methods and testing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years Continued Professional Development in specialist domain (Testing and UKAS), with experience in construction testing and a science or engineering background.
- Competence and Skills: Competence to conduct a wide range of complex testing services in a professional manner and to a high standard.
