About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Acoustic and Structures team in the Building Test Centre at Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions in East Leake, Loughborough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing in acoustics and structures labs, ensuring high-quality analysis and adherence to strict requirements.
  • Research and implement new testing methods, collaborating with customers and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Plan and conduct UKAS accredited testing, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and expertise.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of testing for the construction industry, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of testing services and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, prioritizing health and safety, environmental sustainability, and equality of opportunity.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years Continued Professional Development in specialist domain (Testing and UKAS).
  • Proven experience in construction testing, including fire, acoustics, structures, glass plastering, and other related areas.
  • Education or experience in a science or engineering field, preferably Mechanical engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex testing services to a high standard.
