Job Description

Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Health Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients, working closely with registered nurses to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care: Provide individualized care to patients, adhering to the Trust's policies and procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team: Communicate effectively with registered nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Document patient care: Accurately record patient information, including care delivered, observations, and any concerns or changes in patient condition.
  • Participate in emergency situations: Respond promptly and effectively to clinical emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Adhere to Trust policies and procedures: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe and effective care environment.
  • Support the admission process: Welcome patients to the clinical area, participating in the admission process under the supervision of registered staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Care/Health and Social Care
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
