Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as eating, drinking, and mobility.
  • Support patients with their medication, including administering medication and monitoring side effects.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobilization, ensuring patient safety and dignity.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, respecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
  • Participate in handovers and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
  • Contribute to the development of patient care plans, working collaboratively with the nursing team.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills (desirable)
