Senior Dental Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Dental Officer to join our Community Dental Service team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to vulnerable patients in Allerdale and Copeland.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients with complex needs, including those requiring sedation and general anesthesia.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in dental care.
- Provide education and training to colleagues and students on special care dentistry and sedation techniques.
- BDS or equivalent dental qualification.
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- NHSE Performer List number.
- Not subject to open or ongoing Performer Investigation.
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, or Sedation (desirable).
- Five years post-graduate clinical activity, including experience in special care dentistry and sedation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work under pressure.
- Current driving license and willingness to travel between sites in Cumbria.
