Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the mobilization and transition of a facilities management and maintenance services contract across various governmental properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of assets and site requirements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage both Hard/Technical and Soft Services throughout the mobilization process.
  • Lead the implementation of contractual requirements from asset and survey data through to successful handover and delivery.
  • Perform site and asset surveys to identify project opportunities and resource allocation needs.
  • Appoint and supervise appropriate contractors while managing self-performing operatives to execute the necessary work.
  • Facilitate effective communication and dissemination of all contract-related information to the delivery team.
  • Ensure that business policies and processes are clearly communicated and adhered to within the contract.
  • Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with both client and company policies across all operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of compliance documentation, asset survey reports, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure that contracts are staffed with fully competent teams and that succession planning is effectively implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Building Services and Facilities Management sector is essential.
  • Knowledge of engineering maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC operations is preferred.
  • Experience in Soft Services management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mobilization processes, CAFM systems, IFS, SFG20, and CDM regulations is required.
  • Proven experience in asset surveying is necessary.
  • A valid UK Driving License is mandatory.

Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for home working and flexible diary management, with travel required to various facilities.

Compensation: The salary for this position is competitive, with a range of £50,000 to £55,000 (pro rata), and expenses reimbursed on a weekly basis.
