The Role
Are you an experienced project control expert proficient in both Waterfall and Agile frameworks? Join the P3M practice at Decision Analysis Services Limited, where your in-depth knowledge and teamwork abilities will be greatly appreciated. We seek a professional with a background in the defence or energy industries to contribute meaningfully in a vibrant and supportive setting.
As a Planner, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and sustaining project timelines that align with strategic goals.
- Estimating, tracking, and managing project expenditures; analyzing patterns and suggesting corrective measures.
- Planning and optimizing project resources for effective implementation.
- Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating project risks; formulating risk management strategies.
- Producing progress reports, facilitating stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and project documentation.
Requirements
About You
Experience in consultancy is advantageous, with a solid history as a P3M management consultant. Familiarity with the Defence sector is a significant plus. A comprehensive understanding of PMO functions and the various aspects of project, programme, and portfolio management is crucial.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Stakeholder Engagement.
- Recognized expertise in the project control domain.
- Experience in business development with a proven record throughout the entire sales process is preferred.
- Advanced skills in planning software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Thorough understanding of schedule integration with risk and cost management, along with the ability to collaborate with Project Controls professionals for effective reporting and project execution.
- Knowledge and expertise in Schedule Risk Analysis.
- Ability to lead the integration of cost, resource, and risk mitigation activities into project schedules.
- Extensive knowledge of change control procedures.
- Capability to generate clear and concise management information on project/programme performance against established plans, including Earned Value Management, and provide guidance to Project Managers on options and impacts (e.g., milestones).
- Competence in developing schedules from inception and offering guidance to Project Managers and Project Controls professionals throughout the process.
