Job Opportunity: Technical Trainer / Assessor

Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) is a leading provider of workforce development solutions, offering education, training, and assessment services. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Trainer / Assessor to join our team in Coventry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training and assessment to learners of all ages in core mechanical skills, with some electrical experience being advantageous. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and presenting training material
  • Train and assess learners
  • Produce reports
  • Monitor candidate performance
  • Experience of working to a QA system

We are looking for a qualified engineer who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in machining and a sound understanding of QA systems.

The role offers a competitive starting annual salary of £38,000, dependent on experience, plus 25 days annual holiday, plus 8 statutory days, pension, and private medical insurance.

  • Driving licence
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who is proactive and organised
  • Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Proof of Right to work in the UK
