Job Title: Accounts and Payroll Assistant

Location: Blaydon

Salary: Up to £32,000

We are working with a fantastic client in Blaydon who is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for 30 staff members
  • Input purchase orders and invoices daily
  • Reconcile purchase statements
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Ensure stock products and prices are maintained
  • Analyze monthly credit card statements
  • Process month-end payments through the bank line system
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are maintained for services and repairs/mileage sheets

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with Sage Accounts and Sage payroll is desirable but not essential
  • An analytical, methodical, and thorough approach to work is necessary
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in a high-volume administration role is beneficial
  • Double-entry booking knowledge is beneficial
