DT Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate DT teacher to join our team at a Catholic school in Blaydon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Design and Technology and be able to deliver engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 3.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum as required to students
  • Responsible for creating and delivering lesson plans, adjusting to each group/year where required.
  • Accountable for students progress within class.
  • Have a clear understanding of each students needs.
  • Produce accurate and productive assessments of students progression.

Requirements:

  • A UK Teaching Qualification with QTS is desirable for this role.
  • Prior experience teaching GCSE Design & Technology within a Secondary School/FE setting.
  • Hold a minimum Bachelors degree within the subject.
  • Have an up to date DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within 3 weeks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
