Blair West is partnering with Impress Group, an invested Engineering group of businesses, as they look to expand their finance team with the key appointment of an Accounts Assistant.

Supporting a newly appointed Finance Director, this role will look after transactional finance for the businesses, focusing on Purchase Ledger, while in time developing into a true number 2 in finance for the FD. Study support will be provided for onward study of AAT, and later ACCA/CIMA.

**The opportunity**:

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support the Finance Director in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
- Continuously identify process efficiencies.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
- AAT studying or appropriately qualified by experience.
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience of Sage software, particularly Sage 50 essential.
- Can-do attitude and attention to detail.
