As a driver's mate, you will assist our drivers with the delivery and installation of our products to our valued customers across the UK.

Our Trainee Drivers Mates & Warehouse Operatives play an insanely important role at Rowen and we're really excited to be opening a new position in this division.


What you are going to do:

  • Typically working 5 days per week, Monday to Sunday, support Delivery Drivers in transporting 2 man deliveries Rowen products locally initially and then nationally in the long term
  • Loading and unloading all orders
  • Using route planner to map out your day
  • Contacting customers confirming your ETAs
  • Take photographs of delivered goods
  • Receive, check and store goods
  • Check all received goods are accounted for and that any damages are escalated
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety and System Operating Procedures
  • Picking, packing & processing orders securely and at pace, meeting customer expectations
  • Process all customer returns within the advertising time frame and communication any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Customer Experience Team
  • Complete regular stock takes
  • Deliver customer orders via van
  • Contribute ideas towards time efficiencies
  • Keep warehouse safe, secure, clean & tidy
  • Record all stock movements
  • Communicate shortage issues to Warehouse Manager
  • Be mindful of sustainability and reuse of materials

What you are going to need:

  • Be personable and professional at all times
  • Able to lift furniture safely and securely and able to get in and out of a van quickly and safely throughout the day
  • Willing to undertake a DBS check
  • Thinking and reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • A positive mindset
  • Being open to change
  • Problem solving abilities
