Job Summary

Solent NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Manager to lead our Mental Health Outreach Team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a small multidisciplinary team to provide timely and effective responses for people with co-occurring conditions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification, such as a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist, and significant post-qualification Practitioner experience. You will have a proven track record of effective management and leadership, with experience in managing complex and high-risk cases. Additionally, you will have a working knowledge of Risk Assessment and management tools currently in use within acute mental health settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management and leadership to the Mental Health Outreach Team
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve access to services for people with co-occurring conditions
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to develop joint working protocols and pathways
  • Supervise, appraise, and performance manage team members
  • Recruit and manage the team to ensure timely access to services
