Surgical Inpatient Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients Team at The Wilmslow Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our surgical unit.
About the RoleAs a Staff Nurse in our Surgical Inpatients Team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide support to junior staff and temporary staff.
You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to clinical standards and policies
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care transitions
- Supervise and direct junior staff and temporary staff
- Contribute to the development of clinical standards, policies, and procedures
- Participate in research-based care and practice development initiatives
- Registered Nurse Level 1
- NMC Registration and PREP requirements
- Previous experience in a surgical setting
- Post-graduate experience of a broad range of surgical procedures
- Basic life support
