Postdoctoral Researcher in Cell Assay Development and Chemico-Genomic Screening

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a member of the Oppermann group, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and clinician researchers working on the UK Research and Innovation Musculoskeletal Functional Genomics Initiative Cluster (MSK Cluster).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and adapt cell-based assays for chemico-genomic screening
- Execute chemical and genetic screening to identify novel targets in MSK diseases
- Contribute to the analysis of genetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data
- Collaborate with the team to design innovative therapeutic intervention points
- Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in human and/or chemical or molecular biology, or a related relevant scientific subject
- Demonstrable experience in molecular and cell biology techniques, including cell culture, molecular cloning, immune-precipitation techniques, transcriptomics, next generation sequencing, and proteomics
- Documented experience in genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and imaging data analysis
- Previous research experience in the genetics of human disease and experience working with large datasets
- A full-time fixed-term appointment for 36 months
