Postdoctoral Researcher in Cell Assay Development and Chemico-Genomic Screening

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher
to join our interdisciplinary team at the University of Oxford. As a member of the Oppermann group, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment focused on advancing our understanding of musculoskeletal diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt cell-based assays to identify novel targets in musculoskeletal diseases
- Conduct chemical and genetic screening to identify potential therapeutic interventions
- Contribute to the analysis of genetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data
- Collaborate with the research team to design and implement innovative therapeutic strategies
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in human and/or chemical or molecular biology, or a related relevant scientific subject
- Proven experience in molecular and cell biology techniques, including cell culture, molecular cloning, and next-generation sequencing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and statistical packages (R and/or Python)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
