Postdoctoral Researcher in Genomics and Machine Learning

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. The successful candidate will work on developing cutting-edge genomics methods and unraveling the intricate relationship between the human genome and the development of common diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning and laboratory-based approaches for decoding how the human genome encodes gene expression levels
- Undertake large scale data generation from primary human samples using a method recently pioneered by the host laboratory
- Collaborate with Professor James Davies and Professor Jim Hughes on a project to develop novel genomics methods
Requirements
- PhD in Immunology, Haematology, Genetics or a related discipline (or close to completion)
- Relevant experience in molecular biology techniques, including PCR and cell culture, and Next Generation Sequencing based protocols
- Experience in bioinformatics and coding in Python or R
