The UK manufacturing facility generates an annual revenue of approximately £6.5 million and employs around 40 dedicated staff members. The plant specializes in the production of various cooking and food preparation equipment, catering to significant food service and retail clients through inter-company partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a Financial Controller to become a vital member of the Senior Management Team. This pivotal role encompasses comprehensive accounting responsibilities, necessitating active participation in all financial aspects.

  • Ensure robust financial governance by enhancing existing systems, tools, reporting standards, and team resources.
  • Oversee the accounting operations of the business unit, ensuring the preparation of precise financial statements and reports in alignment with corporate policies and GAAP.
  • Conduct financial analyses, offering recommendations and implementing procedures to facilitate critical business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to prepare the annual operating plan, serving as a benchmark for assessing the financial health of the organization.
  • Provide guidance on financial matters across all departments within the business.
  • Manage HR and IT responsibilities for the site, including payroll functions.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Demonstrated success in a diverse finance role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing finance teams, complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to engage with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
