As a key member of our Critical Care Outreach team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to acutely unwell patients across our site.
Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care in ward areas.
- Recognize and respond to acutely ill and deteriorating patients, ensuring timely interventions by the most appropriate member of the healthcare team.
- Respond to clinical emergencies as they arise.
- Teach and assess clinical skills in practice as opportunities arise.
- Audit patient outcomes and service delivery, working collaboratively with other key personnel to introduce change for service improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team, leading on delivering high standards of care to acutely unwell patients across our site. Our Critical Care Outreach team is a nurse-led service supported by the critical care consultant team. You will have the opportunity to work both as a team and independently, identifying patients at risk of clinical deterioration or that are deteriorating, and prioritizing their needs with appropriate assessment, intervention, and ongoing management.
Requirements- RN BSc
- Recognized Critical Care or relevant Acute Care Course
- Clinical Reasoning Advanced Patient Assessment Course
