Critical Care Outreach Practitioner CNS Band 7

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Outreach Practitioner CNS to join our dynamic team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Critical Care Outreach team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to acutely unwell patients across our site.
Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care in ward areas.
- Recognise and respond to acutely ill and deteriorating patients, ensuring timely interventions by the most appropriate member of the healthcare team.
- Respond to clinical emergencies as they arise.
- Teach and assess clinical skills in practice as opportunities arise.
- Act as a professional role model for acute care.
- Audit patient outcomes and service delivery, working collaboratively with other key personnel to introduce change for service improvement.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- RN BSc
- Recognised Critical Care or relevant Acute Care Course
- Clinical Reasoning Advanced Patient Assessment Course
Desirable qualifications include:
- MSc
- Non Medical Prescribing Course
Essential experience includes:
- Relevant Acute/Critical Care Experience
- Leadership and shift leading Experience
- Change Management
Desirable experience includes:
- Previous outreach experience
- Previous band 7 experience
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise workload, and a record of teaching and assessing clinical practice.
