Critical Care Outreach Practitioner CNS Band 7

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Outreach Practitioner CNS to join our dynamic team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Critical Care Outreach team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to acutely unwell patients across our site.
Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care in ward areas.
- Recognise and respond to acutely ill and deteriorating patients, ensuring timely interventions by the most appropriate member of the healthcare team.
- Respond to clinical emergencies as they arise.
- Teach and assess clinical skills in practice as opportunities arise.
- Act as a professional role model for acute care.
- Audit patient outcomes and service delivery, working collaboratively with other key personnel to introduce change for service improvement.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for an experienced Critical Care Outreach Practitioner CNS with the following qualifications and skills:
- RN BSc
- Recognised Critical Care or relevant Acute Care Course
- Clinical Reasoning Advanced Patient Assessment Course
Desirable qualifications include an MSc and Non-Medical Prescribing Course. Relevant acute/critical care experience, leadership and shift leading experience, and change management skills are essential. Previous outreach experience and band 7 experience are desirable.
