Finance Reporting Manager - Lead

Zenith is a leading provider of intelligent vehicle solutions, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and employee value. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Reporting Manager to join our team of 90 finance professionals.

The successful candidate will oversee and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for one of our divisions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. They will also take ownership of a divisional finance team, coordinating and managing the month-end closing processes to ensure adherence to deadlines.

This is a key role within our Finance Department, offering the opportunity to shape the financial reporting landscape as Zenith embarks on a significant finance transformation. The successful candidate will have the chance to help define the future of finance at Zenith, while contributing to a successful system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation, review, and timely delivery of accurate divisional financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, in compliance with FRS 102.
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and the integrity of financial data.
  • Lead monthly P&L reviews with senior management, providing commentary on performance metrics (e.g., gross margin) and explaining variances against budget and forecast.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A, Treasury, and other finance and non-finance teams to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and practices, with appropriate documentation for audit purposes.
  • Proactively communicate progress and potential risks to senior leadership, serving as an early warning system for any delays in financial reporting.
  • Play a key role in supporting the finance transformation program while ensuring business-as-usual (BAU) processes continue seamlessly.
  • Train and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team development.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial reporting with strong knowledge of management and financial accounting principles.
  • Highly numerate and capable of digesting and interpreting technical information.
  • Rigorous, methodical, and well-organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and support team members and the wider business.
  • Strong IT capabilities, detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications, including excellent Excel knowledge (lookups, pivot tables, formulae, etc.).
  • Adept at collaborating with senior leadership and finance stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in vehicle leasing or financial services environment would be highly desirable.
