Job Summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our Accounting & Finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial decision making and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, to inform business strategy and decision making.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies in collaboration with other departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Manage and support the completion of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data, implementing measures to enhance data quality and reliability.
  • Support the annual group audit process, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior accounting staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities.
  • Liaise with operations teams to support performance and KPI reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in producing financial reports and analysis, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
