About the Role

Page Personnel Finance is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to support business decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist the business in preparing and reviewing financial reports, including budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Accounting and Financial Management: Coordinate the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and explainable results. Manage the weekly forecasting process, liaising with stakeholders to reflect changes.
  • Capital Approval and Administration: Administer the capital approval process on behalf of the business.
  • Accrual and Prepayment Processes: Review and develop accrual and prepayment processes for retail stores, including utilities, rent, and rates.
  • Variance Analysis and Financial Insights: Provide strong variance analysis of P&L and work closely with business leaders to ensure financial results reflect in the financial statements.
  • Audit and Compliance: Be involved in audits throughout the year, including SOX, and attend annual stocktakes as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Finalist or QBE Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or relevant finance degree.
  • Experience: Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to work.
