About the Role

As a skilled tradesperson with Mears, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks across our portfolio of properties. You will work from job to job, on your planned route, using your skills and experience to deliver high standards of work and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks to a high standard, using your skills and experience to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Work independently, using your initiative to manage your workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and that residents are satisfied with the service provided.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification and experience in multiple trades, such as joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, decorating, and external works such as fencing, building, and bricklaying.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of work and service.
