The Residential Childcare Officer plays a pivotal role in our organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for residential pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the needs of young people.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of evening activities.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of individual care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate with families as needed.
  • Supervise pupils during off-site activities.
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by management.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Caring for Children and Young People or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Experience working in educational or care settings.
  • Strong understanding of child welfare and safety standards.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships within the school community.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity principles.
