Transformative Project Leadership

BAM Nuttall is embarking on a major investment in the Transpennine Route Upgrade, a multi-billion-pound railway infrastructure programme that will revolutionize connectivity in the North. As the Interim Head of Quality Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project's success by providing strategic leadership for Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Management.

Your Mission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Strategy for the TRU West Alliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of the Alliance Management Plan to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality professionals, including the Senior Quality Manager and Records Assistant.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Quality Leadership Group to provide strategic guidance and support.
  • Represent the Alliance Quality Function at monthly business reviews and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Support the Interdisciplinary teams within the Alliance (Civils, Rail Systems and S,P and C) with quality reporting and assurance.
  • Advocate for Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and industry-recognized best practices.
  • Conduct regular performance development reviews and manage staff development of direct reports.
  • Resolve quality issues promptly and effectively, ensuring the project remains on track.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Management professional with:

Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Able to work well under pressure and to fixed reporting timescales.QA Management experience within the Construction or Engineering Industry.Relevant qualifications, such as CQP/MCQI.Minimum 15 years Quality Management experience.What We Offer
