BAM Nuttall is embarking on a groundbreaking project, the Transpennine Route Upgrade, a multi-billion-pound investment in the railway between York and Manchester. This ambitious programme will revolutionize connectivity in the North, driving economic growth and delivering tangible benefits for passengers and communities.

As the Interim Head of Quality, you will spearhead Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Management within the TRU West Alliance, collaborating closely with Civils, Rail Systems, and S,P & C partners to ensure exceptional project outcomes. Reporting to the Alliance Engineering and Quality Director, your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of Quality and driving excellence in delivery.

Your Mission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall Quality Strategy for the TRU West Alliance.
  • Conduct regular Alliance Management Plan audits to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the Construction Quality Leadership Group.
  • Represent the Alliance Quality Function at monthly business reviews and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Advocate for Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and industry-recognized Best Practices.
  • Lead staff development and manage direct reports through regular Performance Development Reviews.
Requirements

We seek a seasoned Quality Management professional with:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in QA Management within the Construction or Engineering Industry.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CQP/MCQI.
  • A minimum of 15 years Quality Management experience.
