Overnight Childcare Support Specialist

Location: Eastbourne

Leaving Care Solutions (LCS) is actively looking for committed and enthusiastic Overnight Childcare Support Specialists to become part of our dedicated team. Our goal is to create a positive and lasting influence on young individuals who have experienced care and are moving towards independence. We provide accommodation and support to help these young people reach their independent living and educational goals.

As an Overnight Childcare Support Specialist, your role will involve delivering a responsive and personalized service to young residents in their individual living spaces. The individuals supported by LCS are in vulnerable situations, making it essential to foster a safe and nurturing environment within the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing personalized support plans and providing comprehensive handovers
  • Observing behavioral changes and addressing support requirements
  • Fostering positive relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of residents
  • Carrying out necessary health and safety duties
  • Cooperating with external agencies as required
  • Assisting residents with external appointments

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Flexibility to work on weekends
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or a willingness to pursue them
  • Access to a vehicle and readiness to travel
  • Proficient computer skills
