Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Reed. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in minimizing financial risk to the company by investigating and evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and verify credit data on customers to establish or update lines of credit, assessing and recommending credit limits.
  • Investigate and resolve customer invoice disputes to facilitate payment or issuance of credit.
  • Review customer accounts for aging unpaid balances and pending orders, solicit payments on overdue accounts, and secure payment arrangements.
  • Follow up on payment arrangements and recommend transfer of outstanding accounts to collection agencies.
  • Maintain various files and records associated with delinquent accounts and credit risks.
  • Ensure all targets are achieved in line with management directives and goals.
  • Work closely with Sales teams to resolve disputes in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SAP is helpful but not essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyse financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Good knowledge of Credit Insurance.
  • Experience working with multi-currency accounts.
