We're seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in industrial decarbonisation to join our team at Deep Science Ventures. As a Co-Founder in Residence, you will work closely with our team to co-found and spin-out a new company focused on decarbonising manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for industrial decarbonisation
- Collaborate with our team to create a software platform for decision-making and investment in industrial decarbonisation
- Work with industry stakeholders to identify and develop low-carbon technologies
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive understanding of the economic, commercial, and operational aspects of industrial decarbonisation
The Opportunity
Manufacturing is a significant contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, and decarbonising this sector is crucial for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. As a Co-Founder in Residence, you will have the opportunity to work on a complex, multi-stakeholder problem and develop a high-impact solution.
Our Approach
We're taking a first principles approach to tackle the challenges of industrial decarbonisation. Our team is working on developing a software platform to enable effective decision-making and drive investment in industrial decarbonisation. As a Co-Founder in Residence, you will play a key role in shaping this approach and contributing to the development of a comprehensive solution.
Requirements
We're looking for a professional with:
- Extensive experience in industrial decarbonisation
- Deep technical expertise in modelling industrial processes, decarbonisation pathways, or low-carbon technologies
- Or deep commercial experience in building relationships with industrial manufacturers and selling technology or consulting services
- Understanding of the economic, commercial, and operational aspects of industrial decarbonisation
