Co-Founder in Residence

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Co-Founder in Residence, focusing on climate change and carbon removal technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative solutions to mitigate climate change.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the development of new carbon removal technologies, focusing on direct air mineralisation.
- Collaborate with our team of experts to design and implement effective solutions for carbon capture and storage.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in carbon removal technologies.
- Work closely with our network of partners and advisors to leverage their expertise and resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and industry experts.
- PhD or equivalent industry R&D experience in geochemistry, chemistry, or material science, with a focus on CO2 mineralisation processes.
- Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art geochemical carbon dioxide removal technologies and sustainable construction material manufacturing.
- Experience in building and scaling new technologies from concept to demonstration.
- Creative and positive personality, with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Access to optimised, purpose-built, proprietary tools, resources, and processes to help create high-impact ventures from scratch.
- Opportunity area-specific know-how from our network of partners and advisors.
- Up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data.
- Guaranteed income of £4,166 per month paid as a consultancy fee until the company is launched and the pre-seed investment is secured.
- Majority equity stake in the new company between you and your co-founder(s).
- Continuous post-spinout support, including fundraising, commercial partnerships, recruitment, and team-building.
