At EDF, we're committed to helping Britain achieve Net Zero. Our Maths Graduate Programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the nuclear energy industry.

What You'll Do

As a Maths Graduate, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

  • Using and developing computer models to support fission gas pressure calculation benchmarking
  • Analysis of severe accident modelling data for Hinkley Point C
  • Interacting with EDF R&D on safety case consideration of extreme low temperature
  • Using Finite Element Analysis techniques to predict Graphite weight loss in AGR reactor cores
  • Developing arrangements for operating Hinkley Point C when complete

Training and Development

We're committed to your growth and offer a tailored training path to enhance your skills and knowledge. You'll contribute to different projects throughout the programme and have the opportunity to work with industry experts and mentors.

Locations

Throughout the programme, you'll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business. You'll be based at one of our main locations, including Gloucester Business Park, Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, or one of our Operating Stations.

Requirements

To join our team, you'll need a 2:2 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related subject. You'll also need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
