Job Summary
We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our care home, Parkview in Bexleyheath. This part-time role includes working alternate weekends. If you have recently been made redundant from a customer service role, we welcome your application. The skills required for customer service are transferable and relevant for looking after vulnerable people.
Main Responsibilities
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for organising a varied programme of social, cultural and recreational activities, tailored to meet individual needs, promoting independence, and making each day of residents' lives as fulfilling as possible. You will work with staff, families and volunteers within the home and local community to enhance the care and support of residents.
Key Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a caring and compassionate person with a creative approach and lots of energy to engage and motivate others. Good communication and presentation skills are essential, as is flexibility in your working routine and an ability to organise and co-ordinate group and individual activities. A Health & Social Care NVQ 2 and experience in recreational activities are also desirable.
