Job Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Activities Coordinator to join our team at Parkview care home in Bexleyheath. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating a varied and engaging program of social, cultural, and recreational activities that promote independence, dignity, and a sense of purpose for our residents.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a range of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including music, movement, games, and arts and crafts.
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, and volunteers to enhance the care and support of our residents.
- Organize outings and events that promote social interaction and community engagement.
- Contribute to the creation of an elder-centered community that values the uniqueness and individuality of each resident.
Requirements
- Health and Social Care NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in recreational activities and working with older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
