About the Role:
Ambassador Theatre Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wardrobe Assistant to join our team for the London production of MEAN GIRLS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Wardrobe Team in maintaining the highest standards of costume maintenance and repair.
- Develop and implement efficient laundry and ironing procedures to ensure timely delivery of costumes.
- Collaborate with the Wardrobe Team to create and maintain a comprehensive wardrobe plan, including dressing cues and plot development.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the cast and crew, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Work closely with the Wardrobe Team to maintain a clean and organized wardrobe department, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new methods and procedures to improve working practices.
- Assist with the management of wardrobe inventory, including tracking and maintaining costume condition.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role on a large-scale production.
- Excellent hand and machine sewing skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills, with knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
