Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HR professional to become part of our dynamic team of HR Regional Specialists in Spain. This role is based in Barcelona and is ideal for those who are passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee engagement.

Role Responsibilities:
As an Employee Relations Specialist in the EMEA region, you will serve as a trusted advisor to over 4,000 managerial staff across various countries. Your primary focus will be to:
  • Provide expert guidance on employment legislation and Amazon policies, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to implement HR strategies tailored to specific business needs.
  • Engage with Centers of Excellence, including Employee Services, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Utilize a customer relationship management tool to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Standardize best practices across the EMEA region, leveraging insights from diverse business lines.

Key Functions:
Your role will encompass a variety of functions, including but not limited to:
  • Managing performance evaluation processes, both informal and formal.
  • Facilitating training sessions aimed at enhancing managerial effectiveness.
  • Providing support on Employee Relations matters, including interactions with Workers Councils and labor inspections.
  • Identifying opportunities for professional development and leadership training.
  • Assisting leaders in career development discussions and growth planning.

Compliance and Policy Management:
As part of your responsibilities, you will also oversee policy adherence at the country level, which involves:
  • Staying updated on legislative changes and Amazon policy updates.
  • Utilizing strong writing skills to revise and enhance policy documents.

Career Development:
Participation in or leading subject matter expert groups will be essential for your professional growth, focusing on:
  • Improving key HR processes such as Talent and Performance management.
  • Engaging in project assignments at both country and regional levels.

Employee Relations Expertise:
As a subject matter expert, you will manage Employee Relations cases, which include:
  • Conducting investigations, addressing grievances, and overseeing dismissals.
  • Negotiating with Workers Councils to ensure fair practices.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Master's degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Human Resources, particularly in handling labor relations cases in Spain.
  • In-depth knowledge of Spanish Employment Law and Employee Relations.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English; proficiency in Catalan is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
