Our mission is to foster excellence in research and education across various disciplines, including science, engineering, medicine, and business.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Serve as a key figure in the Dyson School of Design Engineering, collaborating closely with the Faculty of Engineering and the Imperial College Business School.
- Co-manage the Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance (CSEP) alongside an existing Co-Director, ensuring alignment with the Centre's strategic objectives.
- Lead the development of innovative strategies that address both national and international competitiveness in technology sectors.
- Engage with top-tier engineers, scientists, and policymakers to co-create strategies that enhance the UK's position in high-value industries.
- Oversee research translation initiatives and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Report directly to senior leadership, including the Deans of the Faculty of Engineering and the Business School.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record of leadership within industry or academia, particularly in technology sectors.
- Experience in developing impactful strategies and policies that enhance competitiveness.
- The ability to influence governmental policy and engage with various stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, with a strong focus on fostering partnerships between industry and academia.
