Director of Civil Engineering

Fortis Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director/Director Designate Civils to join our consultancy supporting the development industry. Our client is an independent provider of flood risk, infrastructure, and highways design services.
The successful candidate will undertake strategic development planning and design work, specializing in providing highways, infrastructure, and drainage advice to a wide range of private and local authority clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate detailed design and implementation into projects throughout the construction phase.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring strong time management skills.
- Support financial and commercial management through calculated project management.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge in financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering on both large and small client projects.
- Hold Chartered status with at least 8-10 years of commercial experience.
- Display strong knowledge of legal processes, planning, design, design software, adoption, and contract procedures, as well as drainage schemes including SUDS and infrastructure.
- Be familiar with relevant design codes, such as sewers for adoption, SUDS manual, water industry act, and water environment.
- Have experience with drawings for contract documents S104, S106, S185, S38, S98, S278.
- Be proficient in relevant software, including MicroDrainage and AutoCAD.
