Position Overview
The role of the Assistant Project Manager is a pivotal and demanding position that reports directly to the Lead Project Manager. You will play a crucial role in overseeing Moves and Changes (MACs) and Agile Projects, as well as Small Works, for key clients within the Central London Projects Team.
As the individual in this role, you will be responsible for managing the execution of all MACs and project activities within the UK portfolio, primarily focusing on Central London, in close collaboration with the Central London Project Managers.
The Assistant Project Manager is expected to familiarize themselves with the administrative and compliance obligations associated with various key client contracts, as well as Integral/JLL processes and procedures.
You will take charge of the daily MAC activities, ensuring that specialist vendors complete their tasks on schedule and within budget.
It is essential to maintain a safe, professional, and conscientious environment for all personnel under your supervision. You will also attend site meetings with clients and represent them as needed, promoting a culture of health and safety throughout the team, leveraging your expertise in safe work systems and compliance.
Collaborating with various key Integral Vendors, you will ensure a consistent approach to MAC/Projects, including scoping and pricing for project and remedial works.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MAC and Small Project Work Reviews and Site Surveys, providing detailed tender quotations as required.
- Supervise, coordinate, and lead the in-house team alongside specialist vendors to successfully deliver MAC and Small Project Works.
- Upon receiving MAC Scope and Drawings, organize necessary surveys and inform the client accordingly.
- After obtaining cost approval, raise relevant orders for specialist vendors and plan works in collaboration with vendors and key client contacts, alongside the in-house team.
- Utilize various software tools for project management and financial oversight, producing regular management reports and completing close-out documentation as needed.
- Oversee all activities related to the technical and efficient management of projects, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Ensure that the team and specialist vendors adhere to all contractual and health and safety requirements.
- Address any performance issues related to specialist vendors on MAC/Projects promptly.
- Actively promote a "Safety First" culture, ensuring compliance with the JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety across all engineering teams.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MAC and Project Management.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of client personnel and demands.
- Capable of problem-solving and working independently in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment.
