Position Overview

A full-time opportunity has emerged for a Ward Administrative Assistant within the team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering a friendly, professional, and respectful service to patients and visitors at the healthcare facility. This role, which is pivotal to the smooth operation of the ward and outpatient areas, will require the post holder to assist patients and visitors through various communication methods.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Managing outpatient appointments, including admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients within the ward environment, utilizing the Trust's electronic systems to ensure accurate patient demographic information is maintained.
  • Collaborating with clinical teams to ensure that all necessary documentation related to patient pathways is completed promptly, facilitating timely requests for investigation appointments and ensuring that patients' Health Record folders are requested as needed.
  • Providing support as part of a team to ensure that patients receive a professional and compassionate service within the required clinical timelines.
