Operations Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at The People Co. in the UK. As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our agricultural business, with a focus on compliance, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations, perform shift handovers, and driver debriefs.
  • Performance Management: Assess key performance indicators (KPIs), take appropriate actions to meet schedule, cost, safety, and quality goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Evaluate operational performance, complete OEE, shift handover meetings, engineering projects, and 1:1s.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure required documentation is completed and transacted correctly, including compliance, environmental, safety, and financial documentation.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and commitment to continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance, and develop and implement SWPs and SOPs.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate resources to ensure holidays are covered and overtime budgets are controlled.
  • Planned Maintenance: Effectively schedule and deliver planned maintenance for the mill and vehicle fleet.
  • Complaints and Quality: Review complaints to understand root causes and share learnings, and ensure all UFAS, environmental, H&S, and NWF site compliance standards are maintained.

We are looking for a candidate with experience as a Production/Operations Manager within food or agriculture, a background in motivating people to create a high-performance culture, and a proven background in achieving H&S/compliance audit scores.
