Job Overview

The SAP Financial Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in optimizing the SAP system to align with business needs, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert SAP guidance and support to finance teams, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Oversee compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) regulations and manage financial audit processes from an SAP standpoint.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to streamline SAP FICO processes.
  • Evaluate existing designs for critical financial processes and their integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop remediation strategies for identified defects.
  • Engage with both internal and external audit teams to facilitate discussions and audits.
  • Provide necessary data and documentation from SAP for audit purposes.
  • Ensure project delivery is on time and within budget constraints.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with substantial technical experience in the SAP Finance Module.
  • Experience in a global environment, with knowledge of US GAAP and SoX compliance.
  • Prior involvement in Segregation of Duties (SOD) removal and finance function alignment for compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to convert finance requirements into technical specifications.
  • Proficient in implementing technical requirements in SAP, working closely with ABAP teams.
  • Expertise in managing user access and roles within SAP FI.
  • Proven experience collaborating with auditors on SAP financial controls.
  • Strong project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional accounting credentials (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.).
  • Previous experience in auditing.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk management, and compliance best practices in large organizations.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • Experience in IT governance, risk, audit, or related disciplines.
