Job Description:

Omega is seeking a highly skilled SAP FICO Solution Architect to join our team on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for applying technical changes to the SAP system which impact business requirements to ensure compliance with all financial and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

The role offers a competitive salary along with industry leading benefits and a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical SAP Support: Provide technical SAP support, advice, and guidance to the finance team on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • SoX and Financial Audit: Be the focal point for all aspects of SoX and other Financial Audit related activities from an SAP Wales perspective.
  • Process Improvement: Work on opportunities to eliminate waste, simplify processes, and implement fixes within SAP FICO.
  • Design Review: Review existing designs for all critical and major processes, including interfaces to other systems.
  • Defect Resolution: Review defects and work with internal controllership teams and business teams to come up with remediation plans.
  • Audit Support: Support discussions (technical and functional) with internal and external audit teams.
  • Data Provision: Provide various data extracts and artifacts from SAP to the auditors on a need basis.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver projects on time and on budget.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with substantial technical experience in the SAP Finance Module.
  • Experience: Experience within a multinational business, including experience of US GAAP and SoX.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to have a detailed conversation with finance team functionally and transform these into technical requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in implementing technical requirements in SAP through working with ABAP teams for any customization efforts.
  • User Access Management: Experience with user access, roles, and responsibilities management in SAP FI.
  • Audit Experience: Prior experience of working with auditors internal at advanced levels and external on SAP financial controls, best practices, and implementation of such controls.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Professional Qualification: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.).
  • Audit Experience: Previous experience within an audit role, post, or qualification.
  • Governance and Risk Management: Knowledge of best practice governance, risk management, and compliance in a large enterprise.
  • SOX Knowledge: Good understanding of SoX (Sarbanes Oxley) controls.
  • IT Governance: Experience with IT governance, IT risk, IT audit, IT operations, or related fields.
