Job Description

**Employee Relations Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Frasers Group. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR Business Partner in providing generalist, proactive support on a range of employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an efficient service for employees requiring guidance, help, and advice in respect of company policies and procedures and employment legislation.
  • Create a positive employee relations approach; support, coach, and upskill managers to fulfill their people management responsibilities.
  • Provide operational support and advice on employee relations matters; such as disciplinary, grievance, appeals.
  • Support with redundancy consultation processes and TUPE when necessary.
  • Proactively deal with absence management; assist with the identification and resolution of problematic cases and long-term sickness issues, monitor KPIs and trends to propose preventive measures.
  • Manage an allocated employee relations case load.
  • Assist the team to support departments/teams through organizational change and embedding new structures and processes where required.
  • Maintain employment legislation knowledge to provide sound guidance and expertise to management.
  • Work with the management team to drive performance on key people metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role.
  • Experience of handling ER cases including disciplinary and grievance, appeals, absence management, and redundancy.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation including GDPR.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a busy and varied workload.
  • Excellent stakeholder, people, and change management skills.
  • Good analytical and systems skills.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced business.
