Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced IRO

We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join our team as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) for Islington Council's Children Services.

As an IRO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and best interests of children in care. You will work closely with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to provide high-quality reviews and make recommendations to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

This is a full-time role with a competitive rate of £301 per day and flexible working schedules. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and timely reviews of children's cases
  • Work closely with social workers and other professionals to gather information and make recommendations
  • Ensure the welfare and best interests of children are prioritized
  • Provide high-quality reports and recommendations to improve the lives of children

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Social Worker
  • Experience as an IRO or similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
