Role Responsibilities

As the Head of Human Resources Operations, you will be accountable for establishing strategic direction and ensuring that all organizational HR processes are compliant, timely, and effective.

Your focus will be on identifying areas for process enhancement, developing and mentoring team members, and ensuring that the Catch22 people framework continuously adapts to meet organizational needs. You will achieve this by leading and motivating the People team's operational execution in the following key areas:

  • Human Resources and Payroll Management
  • Employee Relations and Support
  • Human Resources Information Systems

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the HR systems, Business Partners, and payroll transaction teams, guiding the strategy, development, and progress of each area.
  • Utilizing data, insights, and dashboards to present organizational leaders with trends and patterns related to your team's activities.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of Catch22 and making recommendations for improving HR processes to align with business requirements.
  • Fostering positive employee relations with managers, staff, unions, and external stakeholders, creating strategies for the HR business partnering teams to enhance communication between management and their teams.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Employee Experience to establish the annual compensation strategy and propose recommendations for annual salary reviews, ensuring alignment with the benefits strategy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders and operational teams, developing effective people solutions and ensuring that every department has a tailored people plan.
  • Acting as an expert in employee relations, transfer of undertakings, and change management, ensuring that the partnering teams effectively manage risks and provide valuable insights.
  • Engaging the broader organization by providing essential information on HR processes and future advancements.

Qualifications

  • Chartered CIPD professional with a comprehensive background in people operations, business partnering, talent acquisition, and HR administration.
  • Professional qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and guiding teams.
  • Experience working within a large, complex organization and in a unionized environment.
  • Expertise in establishing and implementing HR processes and strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of cultural transformation and leadership development tools and their application in change management.
  • Demonstrated success in driving change and performance through collaboration with management teams, engaging them in strategic direction and execution plans.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations issues, including transfer of undertakings and other change management processes.
  • Proven ability to create and implement organization-wide initiatives.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a team.
  • Passionate about people development, organizational culture, and career growth, with a strong understanding of the Digital/Technology/Design talent landscape.
  • Strong focus on internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
