About the Role

Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Business Development Manager to join Amazon Shipping UK. Amazon Shipping has exciting plans to accelerate growth across 2024 and beyond, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us on this journey.

This position is based out of our London Corporate Office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon's current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for Amazon Shipping
  2. Earn trust of customers and recommend product solutions that fit their business needs
  3. Negotiate and close opportunities to drive revenue, adoption, and market segment share for our product
  4. Launch, onboard, and account manage new customers
  5. Engage with operations and product partner teams to test bespoke solutions that meet customer needs, with a view to improving long-term service capabilities
  6. Analyze processes and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end-user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance

A Day in the Life

In this role, your day involves identifying and securing new business opportunities for Amazon Shipping. You'll utilize various sales and marketing channels for lead generation, proactively source new leads, and build a robust pipeline. You'll need to stay close to the pulse on market trends within Logistics, Supply Chain, and Shipping. Once a customer has onboarded, you will be responsible for driving spend adoption and optimization of the Amazon Shipping product.

Requirements

  1. Experience in business development, sales, account management, management consulting, or roles with similarly broad scope
  2. Familiarity with Excel and knowledge of databases or CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
