About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Escort patients to various areas of the hospital for investigations and admissions.
  • Support with the cleanliness of the department, maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to prepare areas for patients.

**Requirements:**

  • Secondary Education
  • NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning Buildings and Interiors
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Understanding of Health and Safety issues
  • Previous experience in a domestic environment
  • Experience in Housekeeping or Portering within the NHS
  • Knowledge of Moving and Handling techniques
  • Understanding of COSHH

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and use initiative in problem-solving
  • High standard of interpersonal skills
  • Positive approach to team working and/or lone working
  • Literacy, numeracy, and comprehension of written instructions sufficient to follow instructions on cleaning chemical containers
